Clients may ask:
- What will the store look like?
- What colours would be good?
- Where would be the best place for my reception desk?
- How big can we make the new store? It is hard to tell as it is still covered in old shop fittings
Often a client may have an idea that needs to be put down visually and tweaked before construction, so that everyone knows what they are going to get on completion.
This may just require setting out dimensioned drawings or they may need initial conceptual images. We can be commissioned to produce conceptual images, construction drawings, 3D dimensioned drawings and setting-out plans.
Example 1: The Rest Bite
Conceptual designs were drafted up. Dimensional setting out drawings were produced.
Example 2: Kendal College
Kendal College wanted some course literature stands produced. One stand was to fit close to reception seating and one stand was to be close to the existing white display furniture. We discussed designs styles, finishes and dimensions.
- First concept images were produced.
- Then constructional drawings were developed. Manufacturing drawings were supplied for the joinery shop and also separate manufacturing drawings were developed for the specialist acrylic manufacturer.
- Images of how they would look in place were offered. Images of to be manufactured items were dropped into photos at the positions they were to be finally positioned.
- This has led to the successful installation of 1) the wall unit that complements the existing white laminate displays and 2) the stand alone unit that is proportionally positioned in the reception area.
